How To Grow And Care For Jasmine! Jasmine, a member of the olive family, is a vine that originated in the tropical regions of Asia. The word jasmine comes from the Arabic word “yasmin”, meaning “gift from God”. Jasmine is widely grown for its soothing smell and attractive flowers. Jasmine is primarily grown outdoors, but you can grow jasmine indoors with proper maintenance and a little extra care.

Jasmine is one of the most fragrant flowers,  and it is one of the most beautiful gift for women. The indoor jasmine shrub is a real treasure in your apartment. Jasmine has small, white, simple or tattoo flowers, all very beautiful.This plant is an important source of the summer garden exotic fragrance. This plant is quite popular due to their odor, especially in the season when most plants are dormant, it scatters its heady fragrance. Jasmine is an important cent a herbal plant. This plant is found in both in shrub or vine plant. Jasmine plants are found mostly in tropical or sub-tropical areas. Though some have succeeded in temperate regions. In cold areas, increases the plant’s care.

How To Grow Jasmine

Propagation

Plant cutting expansion and practical approach are quite meaningful.
Take the 3-inch-long jasmine cutting new side shoots. cuttings place it in the prepared Potting Mix, Moist compost, and sand. Combine these things will get rid of the rot problem.
You can plant together several cuttings, mind it cuttings to stay away from each other and covered by a plastic sheet (polyethylene).
These cuttings to flourish requires bright light and warm temperature (direct sunlight is not important.) so does not require water until rooting came out.
About 4 weeks after you remove the plastic cover. The cuttings will also remove the roots, after a while you can separate out these cuttings.

Soil

The well-drained, loamy and fertile soil is better for it. Semi-hardwood harvesting is best for propagation.

Water and Fertilizer

Because Jasmine is a tropical plant, it does not have a dormant period or a downtime in the winter. It must be kept watered, fertilized and warm year-round. Generally speaking, it’s wise to give the plant a deep watering with a good quality water-soluble houseplant food once every couple of weeks. Mist the plant daily to maintain proper humidity levels.

Care For Jasmine

Jasmine care

The moist and well-drained soil is best for jasmine; it’s mean soils do not wet. Avoid overwatering.

Pruning Jasmine

After your plant finishes blooming (usually around March) give it a good pruning to control its size. Keep the tips pinched back throughout the spring months (until around the end of June) to promote bushy growth.
