How To Make Famous Mojito. The Classic Mojito is a simple, refreshing drink with a taste that’ll transport you to your own little slice of island paradise. This Cuban famous mojito highball cocktail, got it’s name from the Spanish mojadito, meaning ‘a little wet’, or from the Cuban spice mojo, made from lime.

How To Make Famous Mojito. The Classic Mojito is a simple, refreshing drink with a taste that’ll transport you to your own little slice of island paradise. This Cuban famous mojito highball cocktail, got it’s name from the Spanish mojadito, meaning ‘a little wet’, or from the Cuban spice mojo, made from lime.

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 3 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 oz white rum
  • 3⁄4 oz simple syrup
  • 4 lime wedges
  • 1 1⁄2 oz club soda
  • 6 mint leaves
  • mint leaves, lime wedge

Instructions

    1. For Simple syrup, bring 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil. Stir until sugar has dissolved.
    2. Cool and store.
    3. Drop lime wedges, mint leaves and simple syrup into base of glass to bruise the mint and release the lime juice. Stir well.
    4. Add ice and rum before topping with club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge and a mint leaves.
